Premier Showcase Details
Premier Showcase entries are still primarily chocolate but they can be any variety of cuisine or design. Entrants will follow the same guidelines in the Chocolate Festival brochure for preparation of auction items and samples. Premier Showcase entries will be eligible for their own People’s Choice award but will not be judged by the judges.
As part of a Showcase entry, the entrant may provide any information they’d like to share about their business, organization, group, or the theme of the entry. We’ll provide a table and space in a premier location for a custom display, handouts, and of course the showcase entry and samples. We’ll have plenty of volunteers to serve the samples but if the Showcase entrant, sponsor or other member of the team would like to be there to talk with Festival attendees, they are welcome to do that. We will provide more guidance on space considerations and set-up to those who are interested in having a display for their Showcase entry.
Premier Showcase entries do not need to be professional, business or group-affiliated. We encourage anyone who wants to step up their chocolate game to join the Premier Showcase with a showstopper entry that has a Planned Parenthood/ Chocolate Festival theme. This is a new feature and we’re happy to provide help with ideas, feedback or logistical support.
Showcase space is limited, thus, advance registration is required and we typically recruit businesses, bakers and organizations rather than having open registration.
